Highest MPG anyone achieve?

on my trip from LA to san diego, which is a 300 mile round trip, my eta only got around 22-24 mpg. i think it also doesnt help that its an auto.

at higher speeds the auto is actually better. it has a locking torque convertor above 55mph and a taller overdrive gear.

Also, I can not believe that an Eta gets 40mpg sorry.

There's nothing wrong with the OBC if you haven't monkeyed with anything

anyway, I got well over 26mpg with my auto 325ix on a trip over to Lake Chelan. I got an easy 30mpg in a total POS 318is.

I was getting 40-42 when I had my 80+mile commute. That was on a completely flat road, usually in a line of traffic. The highest I got (while actually driving and not coasting downhill) was 46, but that was very short lived.
