some says compatible with all coolants. I just use the Peptosin blue from Napa auto, I'm guessing the BMW stuff is the same thing.

Lol, have fun cleaning precipitates out of your cooling system. I've seen it with my own eyes too many times to ignore BMW's warning. Mixing universal coolant with BMW coolant will create creamy sludge.

But by all means, I'm sure if it works good in a GM it'll work good in your car too. Try mixing engine oils too for added excitement.

The biggest question here is; why in gods name are you using BMW blue coolant in an e30? Biggest waist of money imo, unless you are s/m54 swapped there is no reason to put anything more than $10/gal coolant in an e30.

I run green shit. Honestly the car finds a way to dump it. onto the ground once or twice a month. Not gonna waste money on blue stuff.

I just fill my system with fine aluminum flakes/powder. It's like a fine metallic sand. Just take a bunch of aluminum foil, blend it in a blender with some distilled water, and then add it to your reservoir/coolant system. Works great because aluminum has a very high heat capacity and gets rid of the heat very quickly.

I'm genuinely surprised by the misconception that all coolant is created equal. If every coolant was the same there wouldn't be different brands or colors or types. Coolant is formulated to a specific standard set by a manufacturer much the same way engine oil and transmission fluid is. If the slightly higher cost of using good BMW phosphate-free coolant every 2 years is such an issue I'm scared to see the rest of the car.
