It's all about who you call. I've junked cars with titles, without titles, with wheels and suspension, without subframes, you name it.

You just gotta spend some time on the phone and you'll find the right person. Focus on locals - anything within 10-20 miles tops - otherwise they'll charge you. If you find someone close enough, they'll do it for free, no questions asked.

And same goes for gas tank and crap - some people request it - but when they get there and it's still on there, they don't say much.

when we get rid of carcasses, we just find a yard that wants it, and they come and drag it away for free. Whatever they get for the metal is their "fee", works out well for both parties.

Damn, bet you get one nasty scar from that... I'll probably be by sometime tomorrow to pick up those parts I forgot last time.

        EDIT:

Word - it depends on what kinda of city you live in - I was getting rid of a e21 and I called around - one company wanted $150 to take a compleate car - dumb asses - they should pay me $150...motor, trannt, everything. (81' e21 - but still)

Had the option of giving it to "cars for causes" = charity - But would rather see it go to a bimmerfile....

Of course I live in a high rent aera - *(same junk yard waned 49 bucks for a wheel chock and a another 20 for a center grill) When I told him I could get it $40 shipped from germany, he all of the sudden asked $43 dollars....

I've hear of the "saw-all" method - and it works - espically if you dont "own" it...But there is something illegal about it - so make sure you destroy the VIn before you trash it - then its just sheet metal with some paint!

(PS the PRO's Spray the car down with OIL before juncking it - so thet they cant lift fingerprints)!!!

            ....just a idea...

You think CSI is going to show up to find out who cut the car apart?

I had an old Caravan that I was driving around - the engine blew on the highway. We took out everything that we had in it, wiped off the door handles, and left - that was like 5 years ago, never heard a word about it. I hadn't registered it in my name, nor filled out any paperwork, and neither had the guy I bought it from - so it would have been two PO's back that it could have been traced to anyways.
