I saw that ad, and expected one fog to be nearly junk.

Just issue the refund. You have wasted your time and $ by just making this thread then the $40 is worth in the long run.

IMO you should have clearly outlined condition on these as part of the transaction before you shipped them out so there would be NO surprises (set expectations very low).

Partial refund. Buyer assumes some risk; seller assumes some responsibility for the poor packaging.

its the principle, yes if you wouldnt like to offer my refund off the fact im a pissed customer. yes its 40$ big deal thats why i said 4 him to keep it. i purchased these to tinker not REBUILD them. what does a price hafta do with the item or the deal being given? its like if i purchased an e30 m3 for 5 grand its supposta be junk cuz its too cheap? why cant it just be because i got a DEAL. just because you purchase items or known to purchase items at a price dont mean everyone pays around the same or thee same. to respond to your being cheap comment.

i just figured he was honest and the only problem was the LENS.

&& MR VANG, i purchased these because there 40$ & lens only needed to be fix AS I THOUGHT & they were a project didnt think id hafta take it apart and REBUILD like you guys keep stating to do. i was experementing w/ resin same stuff used to fill cracks in windshields or w.e just wanted to practice that along w/ my smoking glass for fogs & tail lights. id rather ruin these than a 70-120 dollar set to answer your response.

100sFakeSupreme is right, when he says your packaging job was bad. A few shopping bags isn't acceptable. Crumpled newspaper is inexpensive / free and effective.

I am aware that grocery bag packaging isn't a conventional method but I've always used it, I felt that it was packaged fairly well, if you shook up the box it wouldn't move anywhere.

Though I have offered a partial refund.

Do you think some of the damage was from shipping?

i agree with everyone, 40 bucks is not worth an unhappy customer but at the same time thepictures are clear as to the condtition and he also had every opertunity to ask any questions he wanted about them and didnt. In my opinion he neglected to ask the right questions I would offer a full refund if he returned the fogs other wise i would have to say he SOL

yes,the fogs IM HOPING WERE IN GREAT CONDITION AND the only problem was the lens being cracked && reason 4 destroyed items was poor shipping. but this is from an honest standpoint, it could have just been destroyed already.

i would NEVER send any items in this condition & even if this was an as/is.

could YOU be so cheap as to try to salvage foglights internally? the lens is 1 thing but to fix the projector oval & re clip them along w/ fixing the broken glass and the rest of the housing inside them like you guys state? (which sounds being cheap already) when u can just buy 70-120$ fogs... but then im cheap for buying 40$ fogs? come on hungry hungry hypos.

This. $40 isn't worth it. When I sold off a bunch of R/C equipment a few years ago, someone bought two items -- I packaged them together without telling the buyer, and he threw away the second item. It was a $90 item, but I refunded him the money instantly, and apologized.

And this. I bought something off this forum recently, I didn't ask for more pictures, when it arrived it was completely unusable. It was $30, it was a lesson for me to ask for more detailed information.

My sympathy is inversely proportional with the concentration required to comprehend your posts.

If the seller's poor packaging caused more damage than was there prior, I'd agree with a refund.
