Again, if you're talking about a 3rd-party item, such as wheels from a wheel manufacturer that we obviously don't control, I think we can all realize that has nothing to do with UUC.

E36 UUC sway bars and UUC wilwood BBK and misc bushings. $3k in parts all of them out of stock and you kept changing the date of when they would be shipped.

You kind of remind me of vlad always putting the blame on someone else, its never your falt. And how is it not bad business to sell parts you don't even have.

I'm very sorry to hear that.

As you probably knew when you placed your order, the UUC swaybars present a package with no equal in terms of parts included and Made In USA quality.

Our swaybar kit is priced the same or lower as other brands that do NOT include adjustable links and all the bracket reinforcement parts. You pay upwards of $100-$200 more for those parts elsewhere.

As such, the demand has been ridiculous. So yes, at first we did underestimate the demand and were wiped out of stock in short order. The E30 kit still continues to sell very, very fast!

Again, my apologies for the delay - but the old Economics logic is true, build a great product and price it right and they will beat a path to your door.

Delivery date changes can be affected by many things. With Wilwood, there have been unanticipated delays with track season, Wilwood could not keep up with production.

With our own swaybars, similar thing.

But the fact is, unless you work in manufacturing, it's difficult to understand that physical products can't just be downloaded from the internet. Many steps go into the manufacturing.

I don't mean to be blaming someone else, I'm simply pointing out the reality of the situation. Sometimes parts get backordered from every manufacturer. I find myself waiting for parts all the time from other companies, I get it - it happens.

So please, let's be adults here. If your goal is to (undeservedly) damage the reputation of a company that puts quality and USA production as first priorities, keep at it. If you're looking to resolve an issue, please feel free to call me directly.

Guys, I would really prefer that things like this be dealt with via PM. Calling out of a well-known and respected vendor is just not appropriate. I understand people get frustrated with things, but that's no reason for out-and-out flamefests to take place. If Rob is replying to this thread in a timely manner, it stands to reason he would reply to PM's just as swiftly. Rob has responded to nearly every post in this thread in a calm and civi, manner, while many of you are doing the exact opposite.

I ask that you guy please keep the bashing to a minimum and try to resolve any issues in an appropriate manner, or I will just close the thread, simple as that.

I can echo what has already been said in this thread. Sure UUC makes great products, but their customer service is as bad as I have come across.

Whats astonishing to me is that "demand is through the roof" for their products with how bad their customer service is. It's the same complaints over and over and over again and yet they never do anything to address them. I personally will never deal with them again, and unless there is no other option I will also never purchase one of their products from a distributor.

Also I would like to add that in my instance I did not get the impression that they would bend over backwards to make sure I was happy. My ordeal is documented in the UUC feedback thread. I spent hours trying to get ahold of rob, was left on hold for extended periods of time with their shipping department, was hung up on by their shipping department made multiple long distance phone calls, and sent multiple emails before my issue was ever resolved. After waiting more than a month for my order to ship never recieving any notification of a back order, my order was "lost by UPS". I stated in email that I wanted to discuss having my credit card refunded and my order cancelled. That was ignored and I was told that a replacement order would be shipped immediately. When that replacment order arrived missing the snap ring, I asked for specs or a number for the ring so I could source one locally and not have to wait 2 weeks to get one shipped. Again that request was ignored and a new snap ring shipped. In my mind if you claim to bend over backwards for the customer the least you can do is listen to them.

As you can probably tell the transaction is a bit of a sore spot for me. The shifter and DSSR I ordered look to be great quality, I don't think anyone argues that. However their customer service left such a bad taste, and it is so frustrating coming on here and reading about more and more people having the same issues.

I'm not out and out bashing of UUC.

I have plenty of their products and they work well.

I'm saying that some of the products have very long lead times and UUC is never accurate with giving people a good idea on when the products are going to be shipping out.

Stuff like that should be public knowledge before ordering products from them.

I'll chime in to say that I ordered an E34 short shift kit for my car and received a handle that didn't seem to fit right. I called up Rob and he sent out a replacement one in advance with no questions asked. I really have no complaints.

If you are pissed because you have to wait for production/availability on sway bars well then why not just make your own, right?

                :)

But seriously, this is a niche market I am surprised nearly every time when I order something and a supplier actually has it in stock.

Since this thread is active, I'll chime in. (I tried to PM but Rob's account is set to not accept them.)

About 6 or so months ago I ordered the swaybarbarians e30 kit. My kit did not come with most of the rear linkage assembly (x2). I was able to hybrid with my stock pieces to make it work. I've called twice and spoken directly to UUC employees who said they would send me replacement pieces - never happened. I've also left a number of messages with no return calls.

Rob, please contact me if you're willing to make it right.
                    Thanks

As a potential customer and web marketer & developer, these stories and the ones found in the feedback thread have seriously dissuaded me from purchasing anything directly from UUC. That being said, since Levent is apparently a supplier I would much rather purchase UUC products from him than from the company directly.

Rob, your site uses the Nexternal ecommerce software. It has fantastic support for product stock management and "in stock notification". Why aren't you using these? You could avoid all of this poor customer service by only allowing the sale of in stock items on your site. When you run out or parts are on backorder, your site will be automated to prevent the sale of out of stock items. Customers can call if they want to purchase something on backorder - then the wait time is their problem!

What's more, is that with "In stock notification" your customers can sign up to get an email when the product they want is back in stock!

I've looked at your site, looked at the code. You're paying for these resources, why aren't you using them?

Cause you don't wanna lose a potential sale or impulse buy. This works if order fulfillment happens in a reasonable amount of time. My $.02 :)
