Since this thread is active, I'll chime in. (I tried to PM but Rob's account is set to not accept them.)
About 6 or so months ago I ordered the swaybarbarians e30 kit. My kit did not come with most of the rear linkage assembly (x2). I was able to hybrid with my stock pieces to make it work. I've called twice and spoken directly to UUC employees who said they would send me replacement pieces - never happened. I've also left a number of messages with no return calls.
Rob, please contact me if you're willing to make it right.
Thanks
Andy

**Otherwise very happy with the kit
I just received a call from Rob to get me the missing links.

i would have liked to know that UUC's BBK was on BO. I even paid extra for the 3 day shipping, going on a month now still nothing called and put on hold and was told they were going to call me back 3 different times with no call backs, also gave me different ship dates. Still nothing! I belive in the products but the customer service and web site needs some work.
I ordered a ssk and dssr during their July 4th sale and after it didn't come after a week or so I called and they gave me the scoop and it came a week or so later. Still havn't gotten around to putting in in yet
While I have not bought anything from UUC I know there products are second to non. I also know that back ordering is a continuing problem for some. We need to realise that this is something our of UUC's control and they can only simply tell you to wait longer.
Rob I would take this advice it would solve all of these problems.
As a potential customer and web marketer & developer, these stories and the ones found in the feedback thread have seriously dissuaded me from purchasing anything directly from UUC. That being said, since Levent is apparently a supplier I would much rather purchase UUC products from him than from the company directly.
Rob, your site uses the Nexternal ecommerce software. It has fantastic support for product stock management and "in stock notification". Why aren't you using these? You could avoid all of this poor customer service by only allowing the sale of in stock items on your site. When you run out or parts are on backorder, your site will be automated to prevent the sale of out of stock items. Customers can call if they want to purchase something on backorder - then the wait time is their problem!
What's more, is that with "In stock notification" your customers can sign up to get an email when the product they want is back in stock!
I've looked at your site, looked at the code. You're paying for these resources, why aren't you using them?

E30 BBKs are not on backorder... not sure why your order has not gone out, there might be a problem with the billing verification or something else holding yours up.
Please call us ASAP - hit extension 3 for shipping to be connected directly with our shipping manager to sort this out for you.

I'll try to explain the really good problem that UUC has.
Every time we increase our production capabilities, as we just did earlier this year with our all-new dedicated CNC/fabrication center here in Georgia, we get more product out the door... which means more people enjoy their UUC stuff, and tell their friends about it... which means that more people order. And then we find ourselves with a greatly increased ordering volume that is swamping our new facility.
It's a good problem, and one we're working on correcting yet again by installing more new machining equipment.
For the most part, UUC products have either no wait at all or very short. A recent backorder we had on BBKs was actually due to a rotor shortage from Wilwood, but even that has been resolved.
So we sincerely do appreciate your patience and can assure you that any wait you might encounter will be worth it!
I got a back order on a few items, Rob sorted it out personally and threw in a few goodies for the trouble. Was I happy that my parts were out a month? nope, was I rude? nope, I waited and I am proud to have made in America UUC parts on my BMW.
Try and get the owner of some other company on the phone and handle it in a upstanding manner. I really don't see why there is so much hate in here. Not to mention take time you respond to angry posts on a forum. Pretty sure he is busy running a Company.
Thank you Rob/UUC for offering performance parts for an old BMW <3
The world of manufactoring, never enough stuff when you need it and to much when you don't need it lol.
I understand your situation and you are not trying to stuff people around, it is just the way it works. Unfortunatly people expect everything now and don't want to understand why delevery times can vary so much.

I think the majority of this problem could be solved with a very simple change to the website - list things as backordered if you don't have it in stock and be realistic with the customer that it may take some time. rather than letting them order it, charge them money, and then they find out after the fact you don't have anything to sell them and may not for months.

But then how can he pay to have the part made if he doesn't take their money first....

You must have never ordered from UUC before, you are not charged till it is cleared for shipment.
I know because I have ordered a lot of parts from Rob.
BBK, Evo 3 bottom end parts, SwayBarbarian kit, poly shifter arm bushings(whole bag full), Replacement brakes for my sister(she was not charged till they shipped), two slave cylinder lines.
The BBK was on back order for two weeks or so? I was not charged till it left UUC, the sway shipped next day so that was charged.
I DO order from UUC, and buy plenty of parts from them. So don't post stupid information when you don't know shit. When you order your card is put on hold till it ships, you can cancel at ANY TIME. Give them a call, Rob/UUC is not here to hold your fucking hand.
Rob is a great guy and friend, I am pleased that he took effort to make parts for the lowly e30. To be honest there is not a lot of money in this model. It is mostly owned by broke ass kids and college students. I have over 20k into mine, and I am very happy that there is people out there that take the time to offer us USA made performance parts. UUC, GC, TreeHouseRacing, WOT, MMP, Condor, Massive all took/take time to make one off parts. That us at home cannot make from lack of expensive machines.
I see this as total BS to start a shit storm on a company that sponsors r3vlimited. HE is there running it, I say give him some fucking slack.
I wouldn't "cut him slack". But I would say that UUC does more for the e30 community than most custom BMW manufacturers. There is a whole lot of whining going on in this thread.
let me put it this way, I live in Atlanta, I don't shop at UUC, not b/c I hate Rob, or the company, or their practices. I just choose to deal with vendors I have dealt with for years. UUC isn't the only vendor out there. If you don't approve of their practices, don't shop there. If you don't shop there, don't make unfounded comments towards their practices or ethics you, yourself, cannot back up.
It makes you look bad, not UUC. Suggestions, I am sure are taken into account. All companies need feedback from the public, that's how they improve their product and practices. I would keep in mind what Josh said. This is a forum sponsor, the fact that they sponsor R3V, with all the hate that can be directed towards them and other vendors is rare. Let's not lose them by talking smack. Let's help them understand where we, as customers, are coming from.
Rob, your even keel through out this thread is amazing. I have never met you, but I support the fact you are trying to help our community advance while staying in business down here.
