Joined the I was hit club yesterday

Some lady backed up her brand spankin new Lexus GX470 into my 325is rear while it was parked at home. She moved my car about 2 feet because my front spoiler went up onto a curb.My car is pretty low so my brackets are broken now.Spoiler is fine just severly scrapped underneath.Trunk is jacked along with stock "is"spoiler.Slightly dented under taillight...even though taillight is intact.

They at least left me a note.Called and the husband wants to settle out of insurance. He drives an S500 with several AMG tidbits so I know he knows about cars and has a bit of cash.I still called police and took pictures to get it all documented in case he tries to weasel out.

    NLA 87 325is front spoiler.....$???
    NLA brackets....$??????
    Predrilled trunk...$????
    "IS" spoiler......$???
    Body work/paint....$???

I am debating about my rear bumper too but dont think I want to be a dick.I compressed my bumpers years back but the impact made the other end stick out.All I have to do is pull it back out but well see what I do with that depending if he becomes a jackass.I already have all my own parts since I usaully sell this stuff on ebay.So likely Ill use the cash towards a full respray or 17" CR7's .Pics later

Just for a price reference, I sold a mint one primed and ready with the bracket and brake ducks for $300.

Sounds like they will pay up, and won't try to cheat you. Good luck.

I feel your pain (literally) I have won the court battle and the dick that hit me is still trying to get out of paying. We do a reinactment on the 13th (I fail to see how he thinks going to the scene & showing where he darted into traffic when he could not see through the bus that was stopped at the corner might help) But he does.

Milk this for all it's worth.

Personally, I think there is no excuse for backing into other peoples' cars. If you're not capable of backing up your huge $60K SUV that your rich husband bought you, then you shouldn't be driving - period. And when you do fuck up you should have to pay out your ass for as much possible.

Seriously give them a very high estimate. Hell, tell them your insurance co. wants to total it and that their insurance co. will have to pay $3500 and their rates will go up. NEW parts + professional labor = what they legally owe you. Then add in the fact that all of this is now a hassle for you, so you should be compensated accordingly. Then factor in some sort of "dumb bitch fine."

You don't have to be nice to these people at all. Get as much money as you can out of this.

People shouldn't be able to get away with being a complete dumbass by paying the bare minimum to fix other peoples' shit that they broke. There should be more punishment involved.

So yesterday we go to the dealer pick up the new RSX and we're at the dealer for about 5-6 hours then later $24K we're out the door with the 06 baby. (i drove a 87 POS BMW) so natural im enjoying this car - doing no more then 35 the whole night babying it. So I go to my friends house and I'm making a left hand turn and singing a song "Lord Have mercy....BOOOM!"

I get hit at 45MPH on a left hand turn. So I spin out and all I could think in my head was, I've had this car on the road for less than 40 mins.

So I walk outside and a girl in a Mazda Miata nailed my side. Here's the damage! My brand new fucking car!

How much am I looking at for mint condition repairs?

FUCK I JUST GOT THIS CAR TODAY!!

(PS - sorry for the cursing)

She should have to buy it from you so you can get a new one. Sorry.

Yea, dont feel bad. My car still isnt repaired yet. Ive got a check for 890 for just a used door and bodywork. The body shop says its because they have been so busy. Happened over a month ago, and I actually forgot all about it, til I looked at that side of the car the other day.

glad to see you made a profit on the amazing deal i gave you schnider.

Just go to a good bodyshop and have them give you a complete estimate for repairs. That way you'll have a fair price to have the parts replaced and the labor done. Most body shops should give you a free estimate.
