Kicked my clutch too hard

Meh, the hardest part is holding the trans up with one hand while you twist and turn the output flange to get that thing in the splines WHILE also pushing in as hard as you possibly can.

Its not that bad, I use a floor jack under the bottom to carry most of the weight. Can have the trans R&red in about 2 hrs start to finish.

I did the same when doing a new clutch on a 6 speed e36. Once you figure out where to put the floor jack without it getting in your way it works great.

yup still bad idle, surging, no vac leaks, working well ICV, TPS, and O2. I've given up, I just want my car to get me from A to B now..then ill worry about the rest.

I gave up on mine too!! I just drive it and tell myself its a normal thing for M42's. Sometimes mine is high, sometimes it gets really low, and always stays at 1300rpm when the car is rolling. unless I am stopped for atleast 5 seconds, then it will drop down to 900 (acceptable to me)- but if it idles more than 45 sec. it starts getting rough and doesn't want to accelerate at all.


Sorry to hear your having so many problems. yeah E30s are def. a love thing aren't they!! I love hating mine!
