And I would probably keep the m20 and boost it if you want speed. Doing a crazy build would take away from the car with the problems etc and worrying abot issues.
If you keep this car, I think you'd be happier with it being a nice ride and reliable with a lil more pep but not a crazy build with all the downfalls ( bad idle, possibility of breaking down etc)

    right!?

theres a complete seta motor in my area for a great price, and i have an 885 head in my closet, so for not that much money i could have a pretty sweet ride

Just keep it. M20s are like $200 so just M20 swap it and be done. M30 would be sweet also.

I voted SR because I ma starting to love Nissan engines, and you cant argue with their performance

However, with the price of an SR being about $2200, KA24DE has just as much potential, unless you want like 450WHP.

          KA has an Achilles heel.

The ring lands. You need to have a spot on tune or BAM, those are gone.

SR's like to blow the rockers off too. They really aren't worth what they're pulling for cost.

Nissan motors are okay. But there's a reason why the KA is coming out of my S12 to get a powerplant that is more of the BMW variety.

As for 450whp. There are KA's in the 1000+. 350ish+ is where the cost really starts jumping up though.

I'm with you on this one. I once had a 24v swap and I'm much much happier with the m20!

GRab and m20 and call it a day!

A refreshed m20 with a cam, intake, chip and exhaust. Just do everything correctly on the car - you will love it and you won't be in it for too much money.

I vote (e) wait until summertime to decide

I don't know how fast you want to go during the winter weather season but you're not missing much by waiting. When you drop the top in the summer it'll feel faster with the wind through your hair.

Meanwhile you can build the m20 you've always wanted to build, taking your time, and it'll drop into the cabrio or the coupe regardless of how you decide after summer. If you can't get an engine to work on without selling the car you are going to run into problems building a turbo'ed m20 anyway. all kinds of stuff goes wrong during engine swaps.
Das ist nicht nur nicht richtig, es ist nicht einmal falsch!

You listed the boosted M20 as a motor you always wanted...so why not do that? If it's something you want, why not do it? Nice car by the way.
