IF you drive down to Chattanooga, I've got 3 hoods you can choose from Delphin, Alpine White I, or Scharz.

I might just take you up on that offer. The only hood he had was Bronzit and he said it had a little damage on one of the corners but it cover my engine bay and that's what matters for now.

You want to trade for anything?

Thats exactly my opinion. I can just imagine the look on his face when his hood flys off and..well...becomes airborne and flys around the car :D

Same thing happened to my friend> He was driving around his $200 325e and I guess he forgot he took the bolts off the hood for whatever reason. Hit about 60 and did the exact same thing as yours, landed on the nose and all

What was so crazy was how high the damn thing took off. There was no warning it just started flying like paper air plane and it flew up atleast 10-15 ft in the air. By the time I stopped the car it was still airborn just about to hit the ground.

You can just have the hood, Paint on the white one is the worst, delphin has a small spot poped in, and I think the black one also has a small spot.

Remind me again what color Delphin is?? Which ever hood would be the easiest to fix up to have the car repainted is what I'm looking for. The current bronzit hood works but it it's got a pretty bad crinkle on the driver side front corner.

I'm think of painting the car black so the black one would work as well.

In a controlled enviornment, reinact the situation, and record it.

Delphin is grey - "dolphin" :)

I would almost consider it except I might not be so lucky the 2nd time and the hood may just swing straight back and destroy my windshield.

What is the correct name of the bluish grey color they used?
