    Old saab 900s are tits. Id buy one in a sec if i found one in good condition and low miles.

      mostly mounted it up, it took 30 minutes. youu have to remove the hatch though.

      people drove the entire world with them.

      find a diesel saab with a toppola thats the ultimate vehicle. awd too.

        i have seen WAY more than my share of saabs for sale with a broken transmission.

        they are very fragile, and also extremely expensive.
        they have no synchro reverse ( just like my truck, or old transmissions )

        So reverse gets chunked if you dont know how to do it ( which is toast enough anyway) but then the debris crunches up the rest pretty fast. TINY THINGS by even geo metro standards unbelievable small.

        whats weird about 900s, is that all saab transmissions are interchangeaable. I mean, auto, turbo, whatever they bolt right in.

        they are just called 900 transmission, A, 900 transmission T .... thats it.

        Not like bmw or mercedes or ford or volvo, utilizing a transmission builder like getrag or zf, until 93 saab transmissions were made by saab. Its part of what makes them good or bad, they are an airplane machinist company.
