How many Slicktop 318is were made?

I have a slicktop and love it. This is actually my first car that doesn't have a sunroof, even my Explorer had one. It takes some getting used to when the weather is nice, but the extra headroom with a helmet makes up for it and the lack of rust that can hide (thankfully my car is completely rust free). I am 6'2 and don't have any issues. I didn't realize the check panel was an option, I don't have that either nor cruise control. The '91 318is had the option of LSD and interior choices too. They were trying to get it as an affordable alternative to the 325is which was something like $8000 more. Correct me if I am wrong in any of this.

How many came with black headliners?

as far as I know all iS cars had a black headliner- and only them or M3s were avail. with them.

my 316 HAD a white, and my iS is black from the factory, both have NO front panel at all(not even a spot avail. for a check panel. they have the longer sunvisors.

my roller is a black headliner and check panel delete, I didn't realize they were rare

my euro 318iS has a black headliner, but no sports seats (but euro UBER KARO design), no LSD, and no spoilers on it at all- as well as ZERO options.

Yes, I do have sport seats, they were blue cloth and I do have a trunk spoiler.

I have run into several 91 318iS M42's and most of them had the normal tan headliner. I too, thought they all came with black headliners but this isn't the case. Not sure what the cutoff was.

definitely a 318iS/m3 thing, my 325iS has a grey headliner as well

My 318is slicktop has no check panel, and didn't have foglights, but I added some. I know its more weight, but I like the look better than the color match panels. Carguy101 made some really nice fog inserts! Do you guys also have the smaller OBC? Mine only has 4 options.

No cruise control either.

in fact the only luxury was aircon and I removed that, soon to be removing power steering as well.

None of them came with tar in the trunk. You will love the way the car feels with the power steering removed, personally I wish it was heavier.
