Got your email Matt & replied. Thanks.

Im not ready to call it a "was" yet and I dont want to jinx anything but the insurance check will be here tomorrow and I'm closing on another e30 as well...and no you cant have my arm rest :-)

I do need a 45mm strut housing though. Someone has to have one collecting dust and I hear they are worth/lb than gravel.

That is not really that bad, I've seen much worse that was fixed. Luckily for you (like me), you have an early e30, complete with every low cost part that you can buy. So, awaiting the result of your repaired e30.

I see I must be predictable...

I hope this car survives though, it's probably my favorite early model around.

I agree completely and just hope the key parts don't take too long to show up at a decent price..<hint hint>..those being the 45mm housing and the front panel #8 (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...34&hg=41&fg=10)

Umm...lol....its short enough that Ill look great with my shades and the top down.

Threw in a muffler today (thank you Matt), high beam relay and the inner tail light assembly (turn signal contact was bad). Nice to have a car under going "restoration" handy for those little bits and pieces. Tomorrow the cab gets safety inspected and plated...WOOHOO !!

Its the first cab I have EVER owned and its growing on me very quickly.

..and cashed the insurance check yesterday..total loss on an 84 318i, kept the car and covered the cost of the cab with enough left over to cover the repairs on the 318.

Who says you cant beat insurance companies ;-)
