They're all cool cars but very different. IMO, the E30 M3 and NSX are purer in purpose than the other two. The NSX is a brilliant drive and would make a perfectly liveable DD, but for some reason it's god awful boring on the highway when you're just cruising.
The E39 M5 is fun... if you like that sort of heavy handed style and fussy interior detail. Bring a heavy wallet for maintenance and repairs. This car will cost thousands more over the long haul than a well maintained E30 M3.
The W124 500e is one of my favorite cars although I have not driven one. I would be tempted by the one you showed in your picture without the tint. I just bought a 1994 E420 which is kind of like 8/10ths 500e, and it is a rocket. It's also the perfect combination of performance, comfort, and utility without being flashy or obnoxious.
Choices, choices!

I'd trade mine for a '72 Skyline. Around town the M3 is fine. I'd rather drive an M3 around town than a normal E30, civic, Camry ect. I positively cannot figure out why you people give them such a hard time. Around town it drives like a car, it does nothing evil, and looks good doing it. The stereo works, the heater works, what more do you want? There are much worse cars for around town (as in most.)

Point being, it's not a straight line rocket, that's all.
