Sugar doesnt even mess up a fuel system really. worst it can do is clog a in tank filter.

They did it wrong. Pour metal shavings into the oil. It's a 'vert, so opening the hood should be no, problemo, even to a disgruntled ex-wife.

Also, break lines do a lot to keep a car from running. Can't get your e30 started? Check brake lines first.
