Doubt it.. Everyone has exceeded the speed limit. Your saying you've never opened up your car? Ever? Or broken the speed limit while passing someone? Or following the flow of traffic that was faster than the speed limit?

As a whole yes I abide by the law and drive considerablt slower than in my Xtreme. But EVERYONE has done it in their life.

Eh, I still do 80 at 4k with ~4.27 effective gearing. :p Fuck gas mileage.

Srs it's like 1-2mpg less, who cares. I still did 70-75 with a 4.10 on the daily. With straight pipes, straight through muffler, tinted windows, the lot. Only got pulled over once in about 15 months. No ticket.

the last time i got a ticket i passed 7 cars on the shoulder. the only time i got a speeding ticket was 2 weeks after i bought my rx8 and i was doing about 100mph in a 55. cop wrote 74. nice cop, i think he realized i just bought it.

It hardly makes a difference. 3.46 vs. 4.10 made maybe 1mpg difference for me.

like how he said he drives about 55mph for the MPG. i'd rather float along at 65/70 at just about the same RPM's and achieve better or similar MPG.

THIS. I've had like 1 moving vehicle ticket in the past 4 years of hooning my ass off. And the 1 I got was bs... Just keep a steady check on things when speeding or sliding or whatever.

There are a couple things you can try to do to get out of the tickets. First, you can file for a continuance court date. Most traffic officers schedule their court dates for a single day because they must be present in court and it is easier for them. If you get another court date for yourself, the odds of the officer being present is in your favor and all you have to do is plead not guilty if they don't show... actually happened to me once. Another thing you can do is question the accuracy of their speed recording device. Here's some useful info... "According to the operations manuals that come with police radar, to ensure accuracy every radar unit is supposed to be calibrated with tuning forks before each and every working shift and also before and after being used to detect each speeding violation. The forks used to tune are also sensitive creatures: If not kept in a box protecting them from moisture and jostling, they become inaccurate." If you ask when and how the radar was calibrated without disclosing this information prior to asking and they give you an answer that deviates from this, you may be able to get it thrown out. Other helpful information... radar dector and/or slow down.

Dude, 4:10's arent that bad, I get about 27mpg combined. But it kind of sucks when your brother in a Charger Intercepter passes you because you top out at 130 because of gearing. When I was on leave for 2 weeks I was pulled over 3 times and everyone stares at you or wants to pull you over like you're a moneybags drug dealer. But I admit its pretty nice to roll through a highschool parking lot when school is getting out. Its like that one scene in "The girl next door" when the porn director drives through the parking lot. LOL

Got tired of stressing about cops back in high school, so I just stopped speeding. Much more relaxing to drive now.

I figure there's this thing called speeding karma. If I don't speed 99.9% of the time, when I do need to haul ass I'll be ok.
