    Anybody ever use eBay.de?

I really want to buy some early chrome eurobumpers and I figure that german eBay probably has a plethora of them... only problem is I don't speak a lick of german :( . I've tried the Altavista website translator and the thing isn't worth a damn. Does any one here have any luck using ebay.de? It seems like a place to get some cheap euro parts.

Get them from Greg (M-Technik-3), prolly much easier.

Nope due to sporadic flight to Germany and not being able to find a good source of rear bumpers I haven't been doing them. Maybe now that winter is here I might fine more but I just don't get to germany all that much lately. I have been doing Banner missions flying the Presidents stuff around.

the outrageous shipping fee for the oversized box will make it not worthwhile. your better off paying a premium for them in the USA.

I've had much success on ebay.de. I only get relatively small items that can be packaged well, don't cost too much to ship and parts we cannot get here in the US cheap.

Is there any easy way to use it? I can't search for anything because it's all in german...

It's called www.altavista.com/translate aka babblefish. It works ok but is not the greatest, i'm sure there is a better translate site out there.

Thanks. I'll give this one a try. Babblefish hasn't really worked that well for me. Also, is there a good way to translate the auctions? I don't really want to buy anything just based on a picture? I tried babblefish to translate the entire ebay.de website, but it can only translate about 1 in 5 words (makes it a little difficult to comprehend lol).

Also, what's the going rate on the dollar vs. the Euro? I'm sure Greg knows it pretty well :)

hahahaha good one. But it is hard. WAY too much memorizing of exceptions and which verbs in which context take which case. Oh yeah, my German IV final is in 2 days

                          1.00 USD = 0.786289 EUR

I found an exhaust on there I want. It would probably be too much trouble though.

This is the exchange rate sight I use for day to day basis. http://www.ny.frb.org/markets/fxrates/noon.cfm

                            The rate changes from daily.

This is wrong. $1.00 equals 71.59 euro according Feds today.
