yea it is pretty nice, the fact that it is half the price is just calling my name. Im just trying to track down a skirt or something to go under the rear bumper after i tuck them. I have a 325e and love it so im assuming the is will just simply be awesome.
As to Topper, i have not seen an atlantic Canada on here yet. Let alone from Newfoundland ahha. Are car scene is limited to civics and cavaliers.. Funny none the less.
i believe ill be taking the 325is, and i may pick the 318is up and sell one. They can be sold so easily here it would not be a bad idea. Just i dont want to ship either car and unfortunately i am only one person and cannot drive multiple cars at once..

Fair enough. That 325iS does look to be in quite good shape and the price difference of the two would make it a logical choice to go with the 325iS however at the end of the day, I'm sure you'd have great fun in both.

Half the price? Pick up a zender or RD valence if you hate the rear styling that much.

An eta with basic bolt on mods is never going to feel like an 'i'. Etas are gutless above 2,500 RPM.

not true, i've driven a modded eta, (is manifolds/exhaust, 3.73lsd, is getrag five speed, chipped...etc) it felt different in the sense that it doesnt rev as high but fuck it pulled hard INSATANTLY... if you stepped on it in 1st going like 5/10 mph you could roast the tires till ur bouncing off the rev limit... plus etas dont make their peak torque till above 3,000 rpm so i dunno what you speak of... it was a fun car to drive but all in all i would still prefer an "i" m20...

agreed, they do not have that power but they have some potential.. Obviously they dont pull like the i m20 but thats cause they are after all the economy bmw.
None the less I want to find a rear valence for under 400bux.. I love the 325is but it kills me that its a pre 88. I hate the empty feeling of the rear end but i love the front end.

The exhaust manifolds would be little to no gains on a stock engine, the tranny is the same... and the diff is too tall to make the car faster, but I am sure it had great throttle response. A stock i would still hand that car its ass.

ur probably right but man... if you drove that car... you would probly want to buy it just for the insane fun factor... but it was able to take advantage of the gears because of its higher rev limit (5,800rpm) i dunno if the exhaust manifold's did anything but i assume it couldnt hurt due to the increased power/flow from the chip/intake combo... i think he had bmp plug wires on there too as well as some ngk plugs but im not sure what kind...

I am saying you reach a point with diff ratios that the car is actually getting slower, though it might feel faster because it goes through the gears faster. A 3.73 on an eta is usually that case. And hot damn, he spun 5,800 on an eta and didn't snap rocker arms?

lol, yeah... havent heard from him for a while but i have read that in all realism you can spin an eta to about 6,000 without any internal failure... (i dont know how long you could do that for though cause it sounded pretty thrashy at 5,800...)... anyway im just saying, it sounds like a lot of fun to pick up a 800 dollar eta and make it a fun daily thrasher for cheap... lol i still say it would run an i for its money until like the top of third gear...

I wouldn't say to the top of third, but off the line it would do well against a stock i. I'd think by the power curve in second, the i would have it beat easily. But I digress, given the same mods, the 325i would toast it anywhere... it's really apples and oranges.
