College? My high school has at least 5 sti's/wrx's a bunch of jags and mercedes, a mercedes g cube thingy, the old school off road one built in austria (90k$) and this one asian is getting a new gt-r.

Then again im paying 12k a year to go to one of the best schools in the nw. Father works for amazon.

Most of my friends parents work for amazon, microsoft, sony, tmobile, valve, apple, and the like. Wealthy elite school, and we are po, since my mom cant find work. My cheapo e30 vert on bottlecaps sits next to brand new e92's.

so many of them on campus fucking retarded..the guy who drives the white gtr lets his bitch drive it. I do have some respect for them because they actually drive the shit out of every car you see. they meet and do a coast run on 126 every sunday or once a month at like 2:30am, kids go hard. last kid got tagged at 120 slowing down from 145 on the last stretch in Venetia, next weekend the other asian put his STI in the ditch. full go pros everywhere on each of their cars. moral of the story least they use mommy and daddys money.

At my high school we have a shit ton of Korean students that are here to study, they all live together, go figure. All of them are rich as hell, thier parents that is. I talked to one of them and he said his parents send him 4 grand every month. I'd save that shit up and buy a nice car myself.

Not a new thing, and not just a local thing, had the same shit happening in 1992 in Kamloops BC Canada. totally shitty little school, that at that time was not even affiliated with UBC

Turbo Supra Turbos x2, 300zxtt's, couple of P cars, a few others that I cant remember. this in a town of less than 60,000 peeps at that time. and was so far above what most people in town (local) could drive it was silly. it stood out just a little bit
this isn't a new for sure. and yes, they were pretty horrible drivers at least the ones that lived on my street (Silver Supra Turbo, 300zxtt, and 911.)

To make you guys feel better.....(maybe in a way) The only reason most of these kids drive these sickening nice cars when they can barely speak the language is because back home, these cars are almost impossible for purchase. ie) a Gallardo here would cost us somewhere in the range of $200,000 to $280,000 USD(whatever), a Gallardo in HK would cost roughly $8 mil HKD (conversion rate of 7.5 perse) do the math.....that comes to roughly 1 mil USD/ CAD whatever.... A Merc ML is roughly 1,000,000 HKD (that's like 140,000 USD) , where we can get here for just under 70,000 CAD. So when they come over, it's a like a toys R' us for car lovers with 50% off tags!!! i am Asian myself and i bought my cars with every dollar i made and trust me thats the feeling they can't get. There's nothing to be jealous about....

i do actually rationalize this phenomenon. we live in the land of plenty, cheap gas, cheap cars, great roads, easy drivers licensure programs (this last bit is not necessarily a good thing)... most of these cars are leases and when the kid finishes up school, the car is gone, they'll head back home, and it'll be a while before they can experience the same motoring freedoms we have here.


and i totally hear you on the pride of truly earning your possessions. there is a clear difference between driving a lease and driving your car.

Tons of these Asian douches here in SoCal. I live by UCR and they're EVERYWHERE. Nobody takes them seriously because they're like 5'2", 120 lbs, and the steering wheel would snap their arms if it ever began to spin. And they've never worked a hard day in their life because mommy and daddy wipe their butts and pay for them to live wastefully.
