    nearing classic car status?!

    isnt it 25yrs for cars to be listed as classics?

                My E30 has been getting a lot more looks in the past 5 years or so, it's seems to be becoming a classic.

                          I've always thought the e30 design was a much sexier car than the sloped-trunk diving board e28. Nice unmolested e30s capture at least the same resale price as a nice e28 (even though they are far more common). E30 M3s sell for close to twice as much as equivalent e28 M5s.

                          e28s are nice cars and I'm not trying to hate on them, I'm just saying it's hard to defend your position on this when the market says otherwise.
