I see all your points. For car guys its a good thing with these tags. But i just hate to see people buying beaters that are not really road worthy, and maybe one day get the whole 'historic" tag law in MD looked at. And questions being raised to how they are being used. The Historic tags in MD are very car guy friendly, but since MD is kind of strict with things, it could turn into something worse.

happened a few years back in Germany-- now its close to impossible to get a customized classic on the road in Germany- no matter how clean and nice it is- if it isn't 100% original it isn't happening. bastard ass nazis in the DMV here!

In GA you can use any tag from that year.

correct me if im wrong but in order to be eligible for historical plates you need to have a daily.

1987 counts now, just saw a big article in classic car magazine in the store like 5 mins ago.
