    Just weighed my car

Wanted to play around with my new G-Tech and needed to know what my car weighed. With a full tank of gas and my fat ass NOT in the car it weighed 2760lbs. That means dry weight would be around 2685lbs. This is my '89 325is with full interior.

My '92 525iM weighed in at 3520lbs with half a tank of gas, putting it at about 3460lb dry weight.

Now I can go get some horsepower and 1/4 miles times :D

Exactly. I figured on about 12 gallons in my tank to get the estimated 75 pounds difference for dry weight.

i think he ment that he had to weight his car so that the g-tech's measurments would be accurate.

I just figured on the car having about 12 gallons in it. Full meant almost full ;)

Exactly. You have to enter the car's weight to get accurate readings from the unit.

There is a weigh station near me, i took my old 84 318i there a long time ago. With 3/4 tank of gas, and me in it [140lbs at the time] it was only 2480lbs, nothing removed from car, even had the spare in the trunk.

Recently, i took my 318is there, same deal, same place. I think a full tank or close to, and it was 2750 with me in it, now 160lbs.

So, gallon of gas ~6.2 13 gallon tanks in each, and remove the driver..

                        84 318i ~ 2280lbs bone dry

Oh yea, I don't have a spare in the trunk, other than that everything is there.

Seems about right for a 325is.

                            My 318is: (w/o driver)
-M42, no carpet/panels, one SRD, full tank, no spare/jack was 2460.
-M42, heavier 3.73, full interior, full tank, spare and tools, 2580.
                            -S50, heavier trans, 3.73, full interior, no A/C, alum. flywheel, spare/tools, 3/4 tank, 2620.

edit: car has sunroof, 16lb wheels

damn... my car 87' 325is, no trunk mat/sound deadening, no rear cabin sound deadening otherwise full interior, full tank... 2,720lbs... seems a bit heavy compared to everyone elses, i wonder if it is my aluminum bumpers?
