I didn't have to try anything. I simply asked, and those that felt the forum was worth it to them donated. Oh, and let me clue you in, this forum isnt hosted on my fathers, or stepfathers, or anyone I'm even related to's server.

No, the sole reason for E3S getting fucked up was because I trusted TJ with ownership of the domain, he pointed it to his own server one day, then attempted to run E3S himself out of his own pocket. We all know how long that lasted.

I dont know a backstory of the hosting of this site but he is hosting this site last time I checked and also is taking the time to build it. I have been willing to let past greivances die. I dunno if its because he found a job or something but Jordan has curbed his abuse of members even when they have proven to deserve it, it seems he is more civil now than most of us (especailly TJ, who incessantly whines about the state of the community)

What are our other options?

I use BEN but nobody else does because they hate the format.

E30tech: same format but I dont use it because I cant browse. I ma constantly forced to keep logging in and the colors always go back to black. Plus nobody else uses it.
Bimmerforums is civil but its noob central.
S14.net: Seems to be for E30M3 people ONLY and I have only spent 8 minutes at the helm of an S14 so I have no idea what you people are talking about.

This is my best option. Like I told Jordan back when E3S was dying: A community is the members. If you are a member only you can do something about it.

About Ryan's post, it might as well be in this thread as there's already a good deal of drama. It's just as well that it's consolidated to one thread.
Concerning the audio clips, if they were taken from that site, I'm kind of neutral on it. There wasn't a copyright notice, but asking to use original material is common courtesy. It's not that big of a deal, though. They're exhaust clips, for god's sake.
I thought the page was a great idea and it shouldn't matter if different sources are used. It's for the benefit of all E30 owners; no one's making a profit from anything. I hope the page can come back in the future. It had the potential to be a great resource when shopping for exhausts.

The sound clip page WILL be back. As soon as I can aquire different clips.

Now if memory serves me, I downloaded all the videos out of a random open directory listing I found a LONG time ago. I stripped the audio out, and converted it to MP3 format.

Now if you want to get technical, because of the change of format, to audio, then the change of codec to MP3. The audio stream, although sounding the same, is 100% absolutely different.
