I'm w/ Progressive and I paid $315 (liability) for the last 6 months but it went up to $328 for this up coming 6months for some reason. I'm 24 soon to be 25 and I've been in two accidents, one was my fault (back in 2006) and the other wasn't (2010).

I was recently quoted for $600+ for full coverage for 6months on 2 cars, e30 and 2012 335i.

Idk why its that cheap. I think the fact that I have an airbag helps. Geico quote me $32/month. Allstate was $40/month. But my parents have state farm and live next door to the boss of their branch so I decided to go with them. That didn't have any bearing on the rate though.

Should go down a bit in a couple weeks when I turn 21.

I'm pretty happy with how Allstate handled a total on my first E21, which had already been totalled twice but completely restored after the second time. Their initial offer was just $2,000, but after I pleaded my case they sent over someone to appraise it (at no cost to me) and ended up giving me just under $3,000 for it.
I somehow forgot that I'm getting liability only coverage on my E21 with that as well.

New Jersey Manufacturers here. Great company to deal with if you're in NJ.
All these premiums you guys are throwing out are meaningless. Car insurance has countless permutations. Deductible, collision, comprehensive, torte, uninsured, medical waiver, etc...

I went and got an Antique Auto plate for my E30 today. First thing I did when I got back in front of a PC was go to Hagerty's website. I selected the Premium Plan for longer tows (50 miles or first $100) and the "vehicle under construction endorsement" which brought my quote to $295/year.

That's full coverage insurance with a $0 deductible for about 20% cheaper than I'm paying for liability-only through my present insurer. Seems like a no-brainer, though does anyone have experience filing a claim with them?

After a local had his 240sx stolen, covered under Hagerty, they cut him a check for $14k within a couple weeks. That was good enough proof for me.

EDIT: I can't get an Antique plate in FL until 2016 :( By then the car will be going to my daughter for graduation lol.

I have AAA and I only hear horror stories now... but I'm also only paying $67/month for 50k/50k liability with 3 speeding tickets and 2 accidents (one at fault, one not)

Can't wait to get a DD so i can get collectors insurance and protect my investment
