noob here-updated 8/24 with some pics
hi everybody! i just picked up a rust free red e30 a few weeks ago! only problem is the tb was broke so its tore apart right now. i have big plans for the car and just wanted to say hi! it's my first bimmer and i am super excited to drive this thing!:)
this is how it looked when i bought it.
This is after, wasnt suposed to orange:-?
i did a five speed swap and rebuilt the tranny. new bearings, circlips and shims. all the synchros and levers were within spec. lots of parts DID have to come from Germany:hitler: got rid of the rattle and got me a evo3 and dssr. shifts real nice
decided to tuck some wires and clean it up too.
backseat looks great and the pass seat is ok, but i gotta rebuild the drivers.
and here it is all put in just a few days ago.
its been one hell of a trip, also did lots of other things as well. new a arms and reinforced the motor mounts and put in an oil drain in the pan for my future turbo.:nice: couldnt have done it without all the help from this site and still have things to do before i drive it. but im hoping in a few weeks itll be on the road.
