Any idea what an early euro 320i is worth?

Back when I had my e30 turbo in highschool, a friend of mine told me how his dad had imported an e30 from germany back in the day. Never ended up seeing it. Fast forward to now, I ran into this friend at a bar and asked him about the car...they still have it, only its been left outside since 2005.

    Specs:

1984 Euro 320i, 118,000 miles, 5spd, burgundrot, mint natural leather comfort seats, crack free dash, US cluster :( , bent rear (possibly salvageable) euro bumper, complete euro front end. Both front fenders are no good, paint is total shit, dent under the rear bumper. Not sure on rust, I had my dad take some pics since Im 150 miles away at school right now, but nothing noticeable.

Im looking at it when I go home in 2 weeks to assess alittle more. What do you think a max price should be? Ill figure out whether or not to save it or part everything based on rust when I get home. And whats that steering wheel??

    Pics attached.

Does it run? I would offer the seller 800.00 if it does run and see if he bites.

If it doesn't run then I don't think it would even be worth 1k, granted the parts on it might be.

$500 max if a parts car. cars dont sit that long and still run. Sad but that car is a parts car. Half the items worth value will not come off without a torch if at all.

              Nice, I love Burgundrot.

Being in Aus, I wouldn't pay more than $100 but since it's America and Euro bumpers are so rare over there, maybe offer $500.

Wth. Offer him like $200. Bumpers are just bumpers. I'm sure it makes no difference to him.
Too bad they federalized with reflectors on the bumper itself instead of the jacked up fender/s

Thought so too, I had never seen them on the trim like this.

You could always just swap the trim on the bumpers.

The car seems saveable but I wouldn't bother with a 320i. They're so freaking gutless. You could get a 323i crank and pistons from an E21 and stroke it to 323i, or just swap in a better motor though.

                    EDIT:

On second thoughts; buy it as cheap as possible, throw some JOM coilovers in there, get some XXR/Rota, push the front guards out with your hand/feet and have a cheap ass hot rod E30.

You would need at least a 4.10 diff to feel any kind of "get up and go".

I would say $500 car there, baring rust, if it has rust = less than $500.

that thing is a major project.

Something to inspect is the front strut towers. Most M20 powered 1983/1984's I've seen, for some reason the front strut towers have cracked away from the inner guard and shifted back about 10mm. Would need major work to correct.

I like the color but sitting for that long just destroys these cars. I picked mine up after sitting for 3 years and it has been nothing but a chain of problems. In the end I'm still happy i got the car but its been a big project and that 320 looks like it has potential with a lot of work and some money.

                            good luck

Just saw the group buy on those. If it works out, I was thinking of slamming, stance, and not washing the fine patina it has acquired over the years.
