I did this with Dakota parts I'd been keeping for the truck I'd sold years earlier. We also just had 10 big trash bags of kid clothes picked up for donation.

Feels amazing to see the space freed up in my storage unit.

I need to do this. Just cleaned the shop area and have boxes of M20 timing covers, etc.

    The M30 stuff I'll hold on to.....but m20....getting tossed.

Only because I have 5 M20s torn down and two M30s, one complete, one torn down.

hah, no. Either it's been taken over by poor quality, inexpensive chinese copies, or people are asking if anyone has some used brake pads they can have for free.

I know how you feel, I purged my VW shit other than quantum syncro stuff and now have so much more room. I had a 10x26 shed almost full of crap. Now I am missing stuff periodically but hey... no mess!!

Last time I moved I threw away tons of E30 parts. I tried giving them away for free, but no one wanted them.

Also about a year ago I tried giving away an engineless E34 for free with a freaking title, but no one wanted it after months. So it went to the scrapper. :(

As a college student, even making a couple of bucks is nice, heh. Plus, I can walk to the post office, and ebay isn't much of a hassle.

I've always had problems throwing stuff away, but you're right, it's very cathartic to get rid of a bunch of stuff.

I just did the same just the other day. Tossed a metric shit ton of parts that Im sure i couldve gotten money for.
    For a couple reasons:
I dont want craigslist strangers in my shop snooping around asking dumb questions.
And my time is worth more than taking pics and listing 10-20 dollar parts.

But as always with car stuff, you dont need it until you throw it away..

I got a big ass barn that would love some e30 parts and frequent rides to Seattle area if anybody feels like throwing stuff away.

I know how you feel man. I have a shitload of old Datsun parts filling up my garage, basement, attic, etc. I need to get off my ass and sell them. I'm sooo tired of tripping over parts, and I know I'll be glad when they're finally gone. There isn't a huge Z market here though, so I'm not looking forward to trying to sell them.

I think several of you missed where I said there isn't really an E30 scene around here, most E30 parts on Craigslist never even sell, I see the same stuff listed for sale for months on end. People are acting like I'm throwing away parts that are new in the box and worth hundreds of dollars.
