I'm considering a car that is nearly my age!

    Hi..
24 years old here in a week and some days. It's crazy how these cars are already twenty (in change) years old.
Always wanted a e30 ever since my uncle gave me a ride in his quite a few years back. I'm now trying to locate one that is reasonably close to where I live (south florida). I assume an ideal purchase would be an '87 is? Would like to read some feedback!

Anyway, thought I would poke my head in here and introduce myself.

Looks to be a great community!

I'm 21, my main car is 28, the newest is 25. I don't think I'll ever own a car "younger" than me.

Are their any clean examples of any e30's in the classifieds that I should take a serious look at?

Get a post-88, they have cleaner looking plastic bumpers. They're all pretty good, but avoid the 'eta' engines if you want to go even a little bit fast.

Welcome. I generally like my cars older than me but my women younger.

Just make sure there is no rust. Everything else you may want is easy enough to bolt on.

check for rust, find out when the timing belt was last changed *325* only on that, if it goes you'll be replacing the engine. the 88+ 325i/is are awesome cars, verts are fun but really truly aren't as good of cars, i love my vert but im always worried that its top will get cut.
                          Much wow
