Body, paint and wheels are like new. Just the top and the leather is destroyed. Carpets and everything else are like new also. The car just sat there for years.

I had the good fortune to find that owner's friend was a mercedes benz mechanic. He pulled the tank from the car ages ago so it wouldnt rot. He had held the keys for the car all along. We checked all fluids and hoses etc b4 I bought it. I said I wasnt buying it unless it ran. I didnt even make them roll it without changing the plugs, putting in a battery, putting the tank back in it and changing all fluids. They turned the key and the alarm had to be disconnected. They turned the key again and the starter needed to be brushed. They turned it again and it sang! I drove it around a few kilometers and bought it right then and there. After the purchase I sent it to the dealer. They did a compression test and examined it for what it needed. Its was trailered to my house and its been covered ever since.Last edited by BMW E30 mystery; 03-08-2012, 10:51 PM.

As little as one dollar, and as much as one million.
