    mileage on your automatic e30

I have always assumed there are no autos with high mileage.

This is going to be good data for people shopping old autos.

I have my predisposition that the zf auto is below average lifespan.

how many miles are on your orignal e30 auto transmission?

    100-150k
    150-200k
    200-250k
    250k-300k

I only know of two people on here that have autos...
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

I just did a 5spd swap on my car. 195k miles. The engine was replaced at some point in the cars history but I am not sure about the history of the trans. @195k the transmission functioned 100% normal without any noises or excessive slipping. So I am not sure if the transmission was original but if it is, it survived well.

The one in my 330is car had 333,800 miles when I bought it. I've got all the records, which show over $30k in service, but I don't show a new trans.

It worked fine in the less than a mile that a I drove the car before I pulled the drivetrain and took it to the dump.

Buy, you know, it's not like I can say that it was never worked on with any ertainty.

I have a '91 auto as a daily. It's around 300k with the original transmission. My red car had an auto in it that was working just fine when I swapped it out. It had around 250k when it came out.

My auto died at 110k miles. But I was really beating on it to get my 5-speed swap going.
