At the time it was manufactured the E30 M3 was a master stroke, and the S14 was the right engine in the right car at the right time. Currently they are a little cost prohibitive for a Drivers car (DD and tracking and shenanagins etc) , and the inevitable exceptions aside is better suited to collectors. i'd certainly love one in my collection. But all things considered stock for stock the E30 M3 is on a whole other level then other E30's and dollar for dollar, any other E30 can be built to supercede an M3 easily.

some guys pick up salvage title e30 m3 cars with blown or no engines.
They pay 6-9 k They get a s52 swap it in just like all the other e30 guys.

Yup. Got married and bought a house. Didn't have the time or money. Looking to get back into it full swing and calender looks like an event a month. Plus a 3 race ChumpCar season. Why don't you sign up for the Auto-X on Sunday?

This thread really proves how BMW's Motorsport division fails at life, that they should stop now and it would probably be best to burn every E30 M3 in existence since they suck compared to a modded 316.

I think you are just taking an opinion too seriously. Enjoy your E30 M3. I'd rather have a swapped E30 325iS. Not sure why we would need to burn all the E30 M3s and shut down BMW's M division and racing teams.

Track time would certainly be cheaper than an E30 M3, which you can afford, but I understand :P. I don't care too much for autocross or being a "race car driver", but thanks.

I am not a racecar driver lulz. After August I guess I can make that claim after driving in a race. I find Auto-X to be more just for fun. Slide your car around. Talk some trash to people you know. Hopefully beat them so you can talk more trash. We usually wager Bojangles cajun biscuit or something. Would be fun as I would think your car would be in Class-D which is basically all of bf.c GA so much trash talking can go down.

Plus the John Allen Special will be there which is a big draw.
