Wow, you guys must have some miracle OBC shit going on there. My well sorted/low milage m42's have recorded no more than 27 mpg at 65 mph repeatedly between Roseburg and Portland, and since I don't have a MPG button I have to calculate it the old fashioned way.

thats fine
in 2008, the epa changed all the old mpg figures for old cars.
the way they did it before it was too high, the way they do it now, its too low.
Bother were wrong....
but cars 96 and newer should be reasonably correct.
I dont want to compare gas mileage of any car, because I can show you one figure that says 23 highway, and one that shows 29 highway.
so whoever believes either one is wrong.
I know theres people that get better than 28 with an m20, and Im positive theres people that get better than 30 with an m42 because theres forum threads here.
But I dont want to debate it or look it up until Im ready to show everyone the data in a way they can double check themselves.
its safe to say an m20 gets 20 28 mpg because I have a m20 and thats what mine gets. and I doubt mine is in the top 10% of tune but it could be.
people who look up fueleconomy.gov are looking at some propaganda the government put out in the cash for clunkers campaign. I think that was bush that was so long ago.
You want to know why they did that? Because theres no one to call them liars. Theres no new cars left to test. so tons more people sold the gov their cars for 500$
They just subtracted like 4 from all the old numbers.

Although you did definitely come up with some information with your little 2 sentence flame, which is what Im looking for.
I dont care about you or what you think thanks. Theres so many names to memorize but I can definitely spot someone whos just a troll.
Just friendly car chat going on here. People who dont have that capability are excused. I think people who are interested in what gas mileage the b25 gets should use a search function and look up what gas mileage are you getting. Definitely people got better gas mileage than me.
When compared to a new miata whatever you are getting is less. But not a whole lot less actually I was suprised to find out when I looked it up.
the reason is theres an epa listing thats totally off. I did take the time to explain why its off but dont want to cause I dont care that much.
i dont put a lot of weight into what gas mileage people think a b25 gets when they dont own one. And obviously, I dont want to spend a lot of time with people who dont have the mental horsepower to discuss, just argue and name call.
So youre eliminated thanks for your time.
Definitely a side track. Sort of a lower communication way to try to introduce oneself to a discussion is to just try and find a irrelevant point and contradict it then insult. A troll.
I do waste my time insulting trolls back til it gets old. Im crazy like that.Last edited by stamar; 03-21-2012, 12:38 PM.

I reset the battery etc.
there are many threads in the bmw forums ( and all car forums everywhere) where people show what gas mileage they get.
Its a less than scientific method for you to tell me what gas mileage I get based on your car. Especially when you actually dont even have the same car.
By coincidence it was on the same highway though.

heres one for your m42 I would guess theres an m20 here on this forum but maybe not. Most m42 owners got higher gas mileage than you did. in fact the highway mpg is 29
Nope kershaw.... pull your head out of your butt dude. Youre useless til you pull your head out of your butt.
I didnt change any injectors. Its remotely possible the po did but i doubt it. I picture them as very dirty and only getting dirtier.
HAAHHAAHHA
Are you positive I havent asked you to stop posting in any of my threads because youre a troll?
I dont care about you go away.Last edited by stamar; 03-21-2012, 01:06 PM.

no really. i will. and im totally not going to embarrass you even more the second you do.
Heres another sort of poll. You can ask all the people there how they got their gas mileage calculation.
I dont know what to say other than Ive seen.... aproxomately.... 20 m20 owners claim they get over 30 mpg. some unlikely most pretty likely. Im tired of looking up things for you, do you know how to look up things for you?
I dont care about you dude. Ive got a question for you rocket scientist. Where is the ignore function on this board?
get out of my threads. Go research what you need to know to become educated without any of my help weve all had enough of you.
edit aww peace. I finally figured out how to turn this idiot off. I wont see any more posts by this guy.Last edited by stamar; 03-21-2012, 01:12 PM.

dude I can take a picture of the obc getting in the 30s in gas mileage really easy. Thats not going to help you in your quest.
when I got 28 mpg it was in 2 different 1000 mile trips. So getting the best obc picture doesnt matter. Because I do have pictures of my obc with over 30 mpg. I can reset it and do it again. As a matter of fact I think I can get it to go up to 40 driving less than a mile. Just find a hill.
And my goal was to get over 30 mpg, like ive seen dozens of other m20 owners get.
Do you take medication? Is there someone who watches you during the day to check to see if youre bothering people?
heres some more data for ryann. Actually a majority of m42 owners claim to get better gas mileage than him.Last edited by stamar; 03-21-2012, 01:36 PM.

what sucks is, I still see kershaw posted but you ignored it. Im not super interested in figuring out the exact gas mileage of all e30s at the moment.
But Im sure I gave enough head starts on where to look for anyone whos interested or just trolling.
as I remmeber I was just comparing my old car to a car thats sold today as new and was impressed by my old car
( granted it was compared to a pretty bad new car)
exact gas mileage deserves a whole new thread and people who know how to look things up thouroughly.
Its actually been about 6 months since i went on a road trip with my e30 to see its theoretically highway miles.
I have a new o2 sensor beyond that theres nothing to suggest it should get any worse.
