    Possible Trade? 1987 Mercedes 190E 2.3 16V Cosworth

CAR IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. Thanks for all the interest.

    Posting this for a friend....

250k miles (just breaking in... I love that line)
    2nd owner
    Runs and drives great.
Smooth Idle and strong pull to redline
Motor replaced at 100K - Documented
    20 years of service records.
    Black On Black
    Dogleg Gearbox
    NO rust. -
    Newer Tires
    Leather is in GREAT condition!
ABS light recently came on. It works, but once in a while it will activate when it is not supposed to. I pulled relay for now.
Paint (respray) is shiny and virtually ding free
Clutch perfect (just put new slave and master last month)
    Motor Mounts replaced last month.
Exhaust is questionable. It is there, just not pretty.
    AC and Heat work
    No cracks in dash

I have been driving the snot out of it and is has 250,000 miles!! The valves don't even make any tapping noise. One of the most fun cars I have owned. You can toss it into turns at stupid speeds and it just does what you tell it to. Think of it as a 4 door E30 M3. The dogleg box is different from BMWs. Just a really fun car that is worth owning for a little while at least and then sell to the next enthusiast. Most important is that the headlight wipers work :)

Looking to trade for something interesting... a nice 318is perhaps? No garden variety 325s please.

Car is in NJ and ready for some driving! Come check it out.

Will sell as well for $5K obo. I haven't seen one running sell for less.

too bad your time clock is fubar. Nice cosworth though! A friend has one, and it has been troublesome(as they can be), but they're great cars when running correctly. The sound that airbox makes is pretty delicious!
an extremely pugnacious, snarly little bastard of a car.

I have seen many running sell for less than 5k, but they were really, really haggard.

            Stop tempting me.

What a beautiful car. I love 190Es.. Even in non-cozzy spec, they're wonderful cars.

they just had one of these on Top Gear competing against an e36 m3 and a ford only available in europe. i think it one for some oddball reason even though it was slower than both the other cars
