condition of car's in Dickinson, North Dakota

Hey guy's so im located in California, and i found a 1991 e30 in Reno, Nevada that was originally from Dickinson, North Dakota that im considering buying and doing a transmission swap too. My questions are:

What is the condition of cars in North Dakota, as far as rust goes
What do they use to melt their snow if you guys would now ?(salt, chloride etc)
and how bad/deep/ and often is their snowfall?

lofl. I grew up in North Dakota, moving to Oregon was the best choice of my life.
First of all it gets so damn cold you have to cover your mouth with a scarf or something so your lungs don't stick together. Forget actually touching things without gloves ( ripped some skin off my hand pumping gas once.) Secondly the car probably isn't too rusty but who can say for sure. I know its a salt/sand mix with the majority being sand. lets see some pics!

get him to send pictures of the underbody just behind the front wheels. where the floor starts to turn upward into the firewall (foot well area) also the rear apron and jack well areas in back.

nothing worse than shiny car on top, and rusted through the bottom. I hate that.
