    Precision turbo 6262 and 318

So I recently got a project 84 318 with a m10 that needs rebuilding. A friend of mine has a precision 6262 turbocharger that he's going to let me get off him for the build. I'm not much of a turbo guy(yet), so I need some advice. Thanks

I wouldn't consider myself an expert, but I am pretty sure you can add a bigger engine to your parts list.

I think a 6262 is way large for an m10.

Just run it! And if you don't like how laggy it is, get something smaller

Sounds like a great way to pop the head off an m10.

currently an m10 is making 346whp, i think the 6262 will be almost perfect, but dont think you would understand that

Well I'm gonna build it for a boost and it's not gonna be a everyday car. And like I said before, im simply asking and trying to figure some things out.

Research...and that doesn't entitle to looking on these boards...Google will have loads of info for you to read up on for selecting the appropriate turbocharger. Don't be lazy and come in here and put the weight on us and say "but I was asking for knowledgable advice! gosh you guys are such dicks!" :hitler:

Is it me or does it seem like the average age on these boards is 15?

I doubt this idea will even take off.

oh, hell, just stick it on there, and when you get all the other problems sorted out
(fuelling, etc) if it turns out to be too big, that's easy to remedy. Free is, well, free.
                      Usually.

And if F1 could break 1000 hp in qualifying, then you probably have a bit of room to work with. But you'll spend a lot of time fixing the 'next weak link'.

now, sometimes I just mess with people. It's more entertaining that way. george graves
