MMHMM that 50 chevy is nice. Me and my dad have a 56 chevy. Frame off resto. Its in the shop now but hopefully on the road again soon with a few repairs. It's occupied its current state for it seems 7 or 8 years now. We had intended on painting it the color of the interior but at the time wasnt too sure about dropping 7k on a paint job. Sooner or later ill get around to snapping some pics of it and my e30. Until then..

Next door neighbor has a pretty awesome resto/mod going with a '55 Ford. And this has been parked down the street for the last couple of weeks:

          68 Chevy

Older trucks are great. Don't be afraid to keep the orginal straight six engines that a lot of them had; you can still make them fast or if geared right they can be pretty good on gas.

It's funny because yesterday I was leaving my neighborhood through a route I don't usually take and saw an old truck exactly like what I want. I decided when I came home I'd stop by the house to check it out. Right as I got to that house the truck was pulling out and I got a good look at it. Looked like late 50's to early 60's Dodge, beat up and definitely some surface rust.

What kind of aspects do you want to look for in these old trucks? Obviously rust will be an issues, but what about things like engines, suspension, certain years? I kinda fell in love with the '57 Chevy's and I like old chevy's in general but its all up in the air right now.
