I have 325i tourer here in Australia, it's a UK import.
Rare here, never seen one on the roads (seen a few on r3v though).

Love that it has that 'unique factor' over here.

Might want to look at an E34 touring. They are cheap and plentiful. The E30 doesn't have a whole lot of back seat room to load friends into.

the e34 touring only comes in automatic.

this is a silly reason not to consider an e34. has that ever stopped a r3v'r from swapping in a manual?

One of my tourings had a M42, the other an M40. The M42 was a much better engine for that chassis, IMO.

I was thinking about that, but like stated before; hardly common manual. That's when I got the idea of e39 tourings too, but that would be way out of budget...

This is my old E34 touring, and it really wasn't bad as an automatic. If that is too boring for you, then a S50/5 speed swap is easier on E34's than it is on E30's!

Or look into an E46 touring since the 328 came in a manual.
