    California smog question

I am (theoretically) about to go to L.A. and need to smog my car. I have 19lb injectors and a MarkD chip. Anyone know if I will have issues?

I plan to remove the K&N cone and put the stock airbox back for visual purposes but need to know if I will additionally have to replace the chip or injectors?

    Thanks

If your cat is good you should be ok... just make sure you get it really warmed up before you go.

You should be fine. I don't see many problems with E30's passing as long as they are in closed loop fuel control and the cats are in their working temp range.

Just look towards the mountains from your apartment during daylight hours. That is a perfect example

              +1.

Standard practice for me everytime. However, last years' test figures revealed that my cat is just about gone (you can detect an odd smell once its shut off after a thorough warm-up....kinda like rotten eggs). Chances are I will have to replace mine before next year's test.

Based on your info re: your car, you should be just fine. Drive around for 10 minutes or so before you arrive at the test facility.

Thanks guys. The place I used last time is about 2 miles from my house. I'll drive through Westwood up to Sunset first (through sorority row) lol.
