Fastest car i drove that was not mine was 2006 Chrysler 300srt8 with a 392 stroker and a 200 shot of nitrous. We hit 175 so damn fast in that boat, but i didnt even realize it due to how sturdy it felt. His best time down the 1/4 mile was a 10.78 at 127mph.
Fastest car that was mine, was my 03 mustang gt. Heads, cams, gears, and bunch of bolt ons made 160 come up pretty quick. My best time in that down the 1/4 mile was a 12.84 at 108mph in 110 degree weather.sigpic

Fastest i've ever gone is 110 in a Toyota Sienna.
Fastest car I've ever driven is a 2007 Honda pilot. 0-60 in 6 seconds, pretty decent for a SUV.
250-260HP and like 285lbft torque. Lame but still weird when SUV launches and the nose lifts 3 feet.

Jabro = James Broadwell, the designer. A kit which used a tube frame/fiberglass body with your choice of mechanicals; typically either Crosley 4-cyl or Saab V-4. They typically ran in H Modified in the SCCA back in the '50s and '60s. Ours started out with a heavily modified Crosley 45-cu.in, MG 4-speed. After a race trial at Elkart Lake my dad decided it needed more power. Lots more power. He called a friend at GM Tech Center and soon after crates arrived with a Buick/Olds 215-ci V-8, 4-spd, and matching Posi rear. He got a major promotion at work which required no more racing. The car was never completely finished but I did get a very brief, hair-raising ride. It was sold after he died in '92. Google "Jabro Parker" ... It's out there. I'll have to dig up more pics later.Sterling Silver 1990 325i BMWCCA #24133Comment

My dad's 08 335i. twin turbo 6 cyl. Its a fucking awesome car and fantastic daily driver. Took it to atlanta over the weekend. I was blasting the AC in the 100 degree weather going 130 down the highway racing an audi r8.
That car is amazing.I don't even own this car anymore, but I'm too lazy to change the picture.

Kinda lame but either my M50tu E30 or my 1gen Neon with Crane cams and some other shit done to it. Did a little over 200 km/h in the Neon, still finishing up little shit with the E30 and will report back with my findings.
I do have to say that the E30 feels really quick due to the 3.73 and the G250 trans. Likely tops out pretty early but gets there fast. For all things 24v, check out Markert Motorworks!Originally posted by mbonanniI hate modded emtree, I hate modded cawrz, I hate jdm, I hate swag, I hate stanceyolokids, I hate bags (on cars), I hate stuff that is slowz, I hate tires.

I used to work at a BMW dealership. I loved driving a little of everything every day but still loved driving my built e30's they are unmatched by newer heavier cars as a pure drivers car. New BMW's are pretty amazing at how practical smooth and fast they are.
M6 pulled the hardest by far at above freeway speeds once that v10 came on the power band at 5500 all the way to 8k.
New e9x m3's were a better drivers car than the m6 smg<dct<manual especially in the twisties.
z4m coupe with that s54 was by far the rawest modern bmw I have driven out of hundreds, I would pick it over an m3 any day.
AMG mercedes were like a big hammer but lacked the total package as they were heavy and couldn't put down the power when it got tight and technical, same with the isF the traction control in those cars just sucks all the fun away.
Limited a friends 335 diesel and still got high 20's gas mileage for miles. Pretty amazing car for a daily all that 425ft/lb of torque spoils you. I wish they would do a 6 speed wagon with an lsd for the ultimate daily then chip it to 525ft lb/330hp.
Speaking of torque I hate hybrids but the X6 hybrid won me over with 575 ft lb of v8 twin turbo electric torque (more than f10 m5 or xm6 or any other bmw ever!), you just hit the pedal and the car thinks it over for a 1/2 second then chirps all 4 tires and just MOVES! Not the fastest but is a marvel at how all that torque and technology moves that massive beast. it feels totally different from a much lighter car with better power to weight, all that torque hustling all that weight is very intoxicating.
I hit 100 downhill in my Volvo 740 Wagon non turbo with only 114hp with my 14 foot racing sailboat strapped on the roof racks. Those thules were strong. Talk about windage! That was high school.
I would love to drive a car with enough power and traction to pull some wheelies!Last edited by Wild Ride; 07-02-2012, 10:31 PM.Comment
