Well I fianllay had to settle with the ins company. They had my back against the wall and it was only going to cost me more money to protest it further. I got $4500 for it and they let me keep the car. I have offers on it so I am not sure if I will sell it or fixit and then sell since I have already bought my wife a e39 528i. Its no 540 but its fine for her.

That stinks, am I wrong or does most of the damage go away with a new door? how bad is the damage above and below the door?

It crushed the lower rocker bent the roof and the rear sail panel and bent the wheel arch. I wish it was just the door. It is a very labor intnesive fix. If he had spun around and hit it dead square in the ass end would have been better. The car drives fine. It didnt get the rear suspension at all. I thought about fixing it but my wife now has another ride and I have some decent offers on the car like it is. If I can almost break even on the her new ride with the settelment and offer I have combined.sigpic
