Dude, it's a track car. Who cares if it looks good?
"See, we're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired." -
Bro, it's a race car. This isn't vintage racing, so contact is to be expected. Throw a coat of paint on it, and make sure it's mostly straight and you're set.Originally posted by JordanNice motor. Nice front brakes. Rest of the car is pretty wavy and misfit to be remotely pleasing to the eyes.
Good car to sacrafice at the track anways.
-CharlieSwing wild, brake later, don't apologize.

Awesome to know the specs on that badboy now. I thought the sticker added class.
So is the car still driven on street ... sometimes? I'd love to see it in my rear view, my e30 may piss itself though.Comment

while it has plates on it, i don't see stock seat belts. i'm not familiar w/ TN laws but i thought those would be required to pass inspection. also note the lack of turn signals in the front bumper
"nascar" bars are way heavier and not as strong as a simple "X" brace for the door. the rest of the cage isn't tight to the body so he's not taking maximizing the rigidity a full cage can offer. nor do i understand the kirkey seat. can't tell if there's a seatback brace, which is needed or those seats fold under impact. i'd have gone w/ a touring type seat made from carbon/fiberglass instead of the roundy-round seat. are those 5-pt harnesses? 6pts would have been the better choice. enough nit-picking though. it'll pass tech but those are all shortcomings in my opinion
nice carbon airbox. i bet that sounds MEAN. and i bet he has a real blast driving itJames

You East Coast people and your inspections. I REALLY doubt that TN has inspections.Originally posted by jht3while it has plates on it, i don't see stock seat belts. i'm not familiar w/ TN laws but i thought those would be required to pass inspection. also note the lack of turn signals in the front bumperCurrent Cars2014 M235i2009 R56 Cooper S1998 M31997 M3Comment

That car is a piece of shit. Big M fenders. Big gay no function wing. Gay body kit stuff prolly made from recycled cardboard. Big heavy wheels with tiny stock brakes and Autozone brake pads. I bet he cant even peel out. What a puss. I can beat his car ANY day in ANY situation other than being slow at WOT.
Will

Could someone give some more info about Rowell's car? I've heard about it through 3-4 other threads. Not sure if there's as much info as Mike's car, but any more info would be cool.Originally posted by Brew2175 lbs + 380 hp = wicked fucking fast.
Must be a blast. I think this has Rowell's car beat handily.

Sure don't. Mike has been known to drive that car 45 minutes to the shop that works on it pretty frequently. With all the rice around here I'm sure he attracts a crowd. No emissions, inspections, etc, etc.... Pretty nice for now but I am sure our day will come.Originally posted by DaveCNYou East Coast people and your inspections. Anyone know if this is Akard's current car, or his former car?? I was under the impression he sold his old car, and I thought his new car had some seriously "rolled" fenders- no bolt on flares- but wide as hell steel thanks to hours of work with a fender roller.
Anyone??
Bret.
ps- if that is his current car- I know for a fact that he paid more than $400 for it.... ;)Comment
