What all is needed besides the M30 AFM? I have bigger injectors to go along with it. is this a straight bolt on mod? Will I need to tune the ECU or will it adjust itself? Lots of questions, but where I am stationed, there are no local tuning shops. If it involves more than that then can't do it while I am stationed here.

For what it's worth, to do this right you want an air-fuel ratio meter, an adjustable fuel pressue regulator and slightly higher flowing injectors.
Most say the m30 afm works but you are messing with your air-fuel mixtures which are criticial and need to be done right. Not all m30 AFMs are the same.
To simply get an AFM and just put it in the car is not worth it to me. If you can't get access to measure your cars new air-fuel mixtures and adjust accordingly, save some more and get the injectors and fuel pressure regulator.
BMWs are not that easy to get power out of for "free." I have an m30 AFM which I had to swap electronics on and need to get injectors and the fuel pressure regulator to make sure I get a worthwhile gain. Our cars as they are simply don't take to basic modifications well. For what you will spend to simply get an m30 AFM to work BEST you are better off spending elsewhere. This is the reason I am not rushing to dump $$ into the motor besides other issues.
If you don't have a chip COURT M3, get one and look into other areas for some susp. gains since thats where the $ to :D ratio is the best.

Thanks guys Looking into Bilstein sports with Eibach springs next month. Roads are hella harsh here. Not many US companies make chips for Euro spec cars. Haven't found any local shops. All are on mainland Italy, and from what I hear expensive. Might try the Bavauto chip or JC.
