Most BMW's in my area of FL are driven by people who don't give a crap if it's a BMW or not (rich)... I get more waves from people driving VW's.

Your a little worked up, aren't ya? Not everyone who owns a BMW cares to be a part of the BMW culture. They just drive the cars because to many others they appear to be very rich or facny.

Did flashing your lights at someone change its meaning? Cause its always been a warning to others that there is a cop up ahead for me all my life. And i know damn well the semi trucks i flash my lights at isn't thinking i'm liking their ride LOL.

That's what I always have known it as. I will give a wave to another BMW normally though, if it's an older one.

Yeah i'll wave too. But i'm usually in my Firehawk so ii'll wave at other F-body owners if their ride is nice.

I get people that do this to me and I'm left wondering if my car had caught fire or something.

I remember being 16 and working on old cars. I had a beetle though, I wasn't sensible enough to start with a car that had things like power and heat.

/rant about how kids don't know how good they got it.

But do they really got it good? Cause the car hobby isn't really fun anymore due to everything being so high in price. When i started driving, things was affordable and one could have fun modding thier car and not empty thier pockets at the same time.

Eh, life's expensive. Kids simply learn that right up front these days, lol.

With the internet, cars are so much more approachable now than they were back in the day when you sat down with your toolkit and some shitty Haynes manual you got at the auto store and started mangling shit till the car worked again.

I see it as a general warning. Maybe to note that there's a cop ahead, maybe because you pissed someone off but not enough for them to honk, and for classic BMWs, just to say hi.

And about the grammar thing, it's fine until you look at a wall of text and almost have to hold your finger on the screen to keep track of which line you're on.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

Take that speech to the kids who drive around 40k sti's and evo's and don't know a catalytic converter from an alternator.

it's respectable if you wrench on old things. any old thing. honestly a lot of older people are surprised that i'm into cars at my age, like it's some kind of extinct past time.

to OP, i'll flash my brights at you. :giggle:
