well I made a carbon fiber radiator cover, it kinda cleans up the bay a bit but its pretty pointless and took me way too many hours to make. Ran out of clearcoat so the finish is sloppy and I messed up the weave in a few spots but its decent enough and looks kinda cool in my engine bay.
before
the cover i made
and after

Yep. I've got a hood, need to paint it. Would like a trunk if it was actually super lightweight. Maybe front fenders too but fitment is always a big issue with aftermarket.RIP: Delphin '89 E30 with S50 swap and lots of goodies :'(

so I will likely produce a nice 1 piece brake duct and fog light delete panel that will feature a nice 3" round duct on the center. Also planning on making a auto-x spoiler that will be like a gurney flap/more verticle m-tech 1 mix creature... if its cool I'll make a run of 5 or 6

SO I had a pretty cool idea that come to me in a dream last night. basically its a wing base for your trunk... With my wingbase you can easily swap spoiler or go wingless when coming from a car that had a spoiler.
As you know spoilers like the IS and m-tech use several holes along the edge of your trunk... basically the only option you have now is to get you trunk filled and re-painted, getting a color match is difficult and the labor is sometimes pricey. The wingbase can be easily painted or left in a nice carbon fiber finish and will be maybe only a bit thicker than 1/8".
My personal zender spoiler was painted on my vehicle, if I was to remove it I would be left with about 4holes and some spots that are not the same color as the rest of my trunk. With a CF spoiler base I can bolt it to my trunk and If I plan on running a different wing you can use it as an adapter to cover up old holes and even bolt the new spoiler to it. It will be a nice looking piece so you could also simply 3m tape it in place as a cosmetic mod to cover up the ~10 spoiler holes left behind by your IS spoiler.
I may be using it on my car to bolt an OEM M3 spoiler to my trunk without ruining it.I can simply make my wing base/adapter bigger than my trunk lid bolt it to my current zender holes which will be covered by the new wing and then bolt the M3 wing to my base.
here's a quick 10minute "sketch" of my idea I will have a real base made within a week on my spare trunk lid.
imagine is being like a small flat version of the STI wing base
or like the E36 LTW

pretty ricey IMO.
Just my opinion tho, I dont think the e30 is a great candidate for CF, its much aestheticly appealing when "clean" with tasteful mods. Also less is more with these older cars. On a e36/e46 these parts would fit right inHad a smooth purchase transaction with me?
