Maintain as much momentum as possible through turns and look down the road to anticipate stops and lane blockages.
An m20b25 Mark d chip and 17# injectors netted me 1-2 mpg as the engine is running closer to optimum than stock with more low end power.
My stroker m20gets 2-3mpg better than the more stock car because it makes more torque so I short shift and can pull in 5th rather than downshift. Plus I drive the cars hard so it doesn't phase this engine as much to keep a higher pace. Probably explains why I got worse gas mileage in a 4 cyl 114hp Volvo (rated 28 highway) 17 vs 23 average.

Actually it's 175/70/14 and OH boy does it help fuel economy! it also reduces road noise (in my application as my Kumho's are noisey as hell). Not to mention road imperfections are greatly muffled too.
Tho the other awesome thing I enjoy is in ANY light rain or moisture on the road will cause the car to easily drift! You really gotta stay on monitoring how hard you accelerating, as the back end will break out when driving in daily traffic and attempting to accelerate briskly from a rolling start. Honestly, I don't mind as I can easily keep this old gal in between the lines ;)If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!Comment
