Ryan packaged the splitter very, very well yet somehow UPS managed to rip one of the ends off. I am so very bummed.

Yes FedEx lost my 60 gb ipod video, 500 blank DVDs that were delivered were not there at the Mail Boxes ETC and a few other minor inconvienences but I did make it the 1400 miles without incident so I guess I should be happy.
I still don't get why this should get locked?

I don't either, unless someone from UPS starts posting gets into a flame fest with you.

Originally posted by DigitalwaveThat sucks man. UPS must have done a number on it. I've hit mine hard enough to rip the lip off the car AND the splitter off the lip and it was totally fine.
I did not open it and left it there for UPS to pick up and deal with it.

The shipper should have no problem getting coverage on it.
Having loaded/unloaded the preload trucks last winter, I quickly learned to pack my shipments with more care. The transfer of trucks, conveyors, and hands, in combination with hundreds of other boxes doesn't fair well on poorly packaged or irregular items.
The most damage done was when the belts jam up (just one example). While the primary belts are wide enough to sustain long packages during heavy volume. The secondary belts are much smaller and are unforgiving to irregular packages. If one gets turned sideways, not only does it get pressure on it from the belt, then it is hit by every other box behind it. The jam is relieved when the attendants push the box out of the way, stop the belt, or the box gives....
I still ship UPS, of course with much better packing than before.Last edited by nkell09; 11-18-2005, 06:18 PM.

I have sold around 300-400 splitters and this is only the second one to ever get damaged in shipping. They are robust items. I am sorry about all this, I will make another ASAP for you.'88 M3.2 S54 Lachssilber/Black

The UPS in Lenexa KS fucks shit up bad, I have had numerous things beat to shit, the last was a month ago when I ordered one of the TMS posters, they ship it a 1/2 inch thick carboard tube, the kind you could beat someone to death with and not put a dent in it, and mine looke like it had been run over no less than fifty time it was twisted and completely flat, I called turner and they shipped me another one still in a tube but also inside another box, the box was beat this time but the tube survived. In my opinion fed ex is fastest, and the USPS tracking isnt worth jack, while UPS just licks balls
