I'd rather that car than... 100% of the cars on this board.

that car was built for the track and probably sucks at the track. a v8 twin turbo @23 psi is probably the last motor i'd want to run at the track. shit i'd take a damn s14 over that.

DiD anyone bother to read the first thing I wrote in the post?

You guys are too hard to please! :D I know it's not a perfect track car or anything like that, I just thought it was pretty cool. I like overkill cars like that.

Josh, you are an idiot, that is not a real M3!!!!!

              ;-)

Seriously - while I don't get all of the mods done to it, it deserves some respect.

Why not just use a bmw v8? Looks like they had to do some creative hammering to the trains tunnel to fit in the 6 speed. Other than that the car looks like it would do pretty good on the track. Not my taste, but whatever floats your boat.

Not sure how affective those metal flairs are. Might create more turblence than down force. The wing is a necessary evil, at high speeds you need something to keep the ass down. Not sure about the turbo ducts in the sunroof, a little rice (probably used to provide air to the driver). Motor is insane, LOVE IT.

that cage is scary. there is NOTHING protecting the driver or passenger legs. the a-pillar bars drop right down onto the floor instead of following the shell a-pillars and cutting through the dash. i have no idea what class this is being built for, but that cage provides only basic rollover protection. the door bars are seriously underbuilt and are too low as well.

is it just my eyes, or are there wheel locks on EVERY lug bolt?

Looks sick as hell. It's old, but its worth reposting. If I had a dedicated track car, I'd make it look crazy like that too.

the metal flares and surrounding metal probably make it so that the car can run perfect underbody aero.

oh christ. i just saw that the cage is STAINLESS steel! are they high? there's a reason why cages are made out of DOM steel or CRO-Moly. who wants to bet they used 3" stainless MUFFLER tubing for the cage.

i also don't see a diagonal in the main b-pillar hoop. nor is there much triangulation anywhere else.

now there's a good idea. spend countless hours molding sheet metal along the wheel wells and sideskirts, but cut corners on the supposed FIA certified safety cage?
