Can you sell your e30?

Nope. I have other cars so there is no need to sell the e30 vert. I have had it for so long that the thought never even occurs to me. I like the challenge associated with keeping it in great shape and making the tasteful modifications that I see fit.
I also realize that at some point in time (perhaps not in my lifetime) there will be very few well kept e30's and as Crusher stated this will make the ones that are left and in good condition a rare find.
Im not holding my breath for that day though. :)

Sold my first e30 (86 325 es) with no qualms, then regretted it after I started looking for a clean 325is
I tried to sell the current on once, then backed out the last minute. I told the potential buyer that someone else just decided to buy it.

I admire your boldness (esp. if your not shitting us). It takes a lot of ballz to come on here and say that you would take one of those cars over an e30.
Cars, like women, are meant to be enjoyed then you move on as nothing lasts forever. Then you find others and enjoy them too. Each different and special in their own way :)If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!Comment

Don't get me wrong, I really liek other cars as well. Nothing is the same as driving an old Mopar or liek when I had my built DSMs...I'll probably get another DSM when I move back to the States...and a nice E28 would be great as well...but The E30 will always have a spot in my stable...sigpic'87 335iComment

Probably not, can't think of anything else even close to it's combination of timeless style, handling, appeal, utility(Touring), fun-factor all rolled into one.
Maybe I would go E34 or E39, E46 is always on my mind as a possibilty but lacks soul & individuality. The E34 would necessitate and engine swap to an M52, and the E39 would be a bit boring unless copious amounts of money were spent on sportier suspension.
I had thought about Nissan, an s13/s14 but they have such shit interiors. Or MK3 Supra, but again the interior is like futuristic 80's crap. A Mk2 VW Golf/GTI with a 1.8t swap always peaked my interest....-03/2005 E46 330D Touring 6spd(204hp/410nM) Sapphire Black/Naturbraun Sport...300k KM & 35mpg(mixed)Comment

i'm being honest. the Volt is a great DD car and the e46 has better geometry and power. I love my e30, its almost finish but its not a good DD and its not a good track toy (bc vert)I admire your boldness (esp. if your not shitting us). I had a 1999 e46. It was an autotragic and it was a solid car. I only got rid if it because the tranny was doing weird things and I was going to go down that road. Yeah, they are everywhere but I like most everything about them. It's the last 3 series I'd own without a maintenance pkg. Maybe I could get one first to see if it tickles my fancy.Comment

Can you sell your e30?
I'd rather die.
No - but seriously, I'd rather die.
I fully understand this is an unhealthy approach toward a material possession.
Like if it got hit and totaled - I suppose I'd strip the goodie parts for a new shell - but I don't like to think of that scenario..Comment

This is a touchy topic for me because my e30 decided to give me lots of problems at my lowest financial period. I'm a full time student on a mean budget and i've managed to maintain the car well. It recently began overheating and i fixed it. However i woke up today backed out of my parking spot and noticed about 3-4 inch circle of oil. i concluded it was power steering fluid. Now i have to find out what the fuck is going on and on top of that the idle is going nuts. In the back of mind I've been thinking of selling it but i always kick myself and say no. I actually made an ad for it and felt so guilty that i deleted it 30 minutes later. This is my first car i've ever had and i have owned it for 2 years now. I hope i can keep her forever, but its getting very hard.

My situation almost exactly. Car is acting up; funky idle, has no paint, did a few mods and swapped the engine a while back but my guilty conscience comes from the fact that the car was given to me :/This is a touchy topic for me because my e30 decided to give me lots of problems at my lowest financial period.
