What are you guys using? Tired of filling up gallon milk or water jugs. How come there isn't any made like the plastic gas cans for oil? I found Blitz made them but they aren't around anymore.

i use a large plactic barrel from my fathers old work when he worked for j&j makinf tylonol the dry ingrediants are shipped in thick plastic barrels with lids that snap on and have metal bands that go around to lock them on also, i fill it up and take it to a local shop that pumps it out into their large tank for their waste oil heater. alo you can just use a 5 gallon bucket with a lid and when its full drop it off at advanced auto or autozone or similar, just leave it in the parking lot by the building they recycle it. found this out as my uncle used to go by at night and take the oil people left there to use in his waste oil heater lolShawn @ Bimmerbuddies

I used to use kitty litter jugs- nice big lids, held 2-3 gallons, thick plastic.
However, recycling now picks up used motor oil at the curb (2 gallons every 2 weeks)
and it's back to milk jugs, since that's all they want to see.
When I first learned they did this, I had something north of 40 gallons... since I had
a 55 gallon drum at the shop, and am lazy...
tnow, sometimes I just mess with people. It's more entertaining that way. george graves

mines similar to the one here...then like above, back in the newly empty oil container(s) and recycle or keep for summer bonfires

ha - typically use an "oil drain" container similar to one pictured above..
but recently took a collection of used oil to nearby shop using:
-aforementioned oil catch container
-glass gallon red rosé jug
-gatorade jug
&
-a large, open-mouthed container originally used for cheezy-poofs
doesn't matter what you use - so long as you can deliver it there..
