my '90 cherokee was a winter beater for a good 10 years up in new york, and it made a good 250,000 miles before needing an engine rebuild on the I-6.

not to mention the whole underside rusted out...

but long story short... apparently 4WD cherokees are good in the snow

I know they kick ass in the mud.

well I was younger, it was lifted 3", dark tint, lightbar, pushbar, and any cop who ran my record saw some interesting stuff on their little computer. One time they stole my lucky charms because they thought they were coated with somthing. I just like lucky charms. I think it just stuck out a little, plus the added record, looked like a perfect truck to pull over. I have not been pulled over in 7 years since I sold it though....

Fuck Jeeps. FJ40 Land Cruisers are where its at.

A buddy of mine in college had one. he got it for like $1500. You'lll never find even a rust bucket one for that price now.

If I had to get some kind of 4x4 vehicle, that'd be my choice.

We used to have one. I loved it. Wish we never sold it. You cant touch a rusty one for less than 3k now.... :(

too bad they stopped making FJ40s in what 85?, at least until that concept version is released (if at all). shit loads of wranglers around, with lower prices and (arguably) more aftermarket support.

                I still hate them though.

                      Sold it.

The one I knew was. And it had a winch on the front often used to pull other people out of the snow.

I heard from a guy whose mechanic told him his brother's uncle's cousin's friend said those old BMWs were unreliable.

bingo. I love FJ40's but I'd rather spend a fraction of the money on a Wrangler and keep the rest for something else :)
